I like the idea of the main power source being the internal combustion engine with the back-up source being electric ....... Not the other way around. Because of this I have to may my choice of "Clean Burning Fuel" automotive would have to be the Honda IMA . The Toyota Prius has shown excellence in what it delivers but I myself find it too complicated to operate. I almost incurred a perrmanent frown line while reading the manual . Why cant you just hop in a Hybrid and drive?
Even though the Honda Clarity is the cleanest and promises "NO" emissions. It is not feasible for me to own one .There are no Hydrogen filling stations here in Auckland, New Zealand and if there were, I'd have to wait ages for my car to fill. But, at least it would be cheap....... And truth be told , if I ever move to California and never drove interstate , only then would I consider owning a Clarity........
The beauty of the Clarity is that it could use the existing network of fuel stations. It will be difficult to get started, I agree but it is a far better solution than hybrids or fully electric vehicles
ReplyDeleteYes I agree with the Clarity too , but at this point in time ,I'm basing my opinion on what is available to us right now. It can use the existing network of fuel stations but it hasnt yet......
